Give Today to Lift the Lives of Women and Children in Red Light Areas

We are thrilled to be working with women and children in the red light areas of India - the epicenter of human trafficking in Asia.

Research has shown that without interventions such as ours, around 90% of girls and 75% of boys growing up in red light areas will be sexually abused by the age of eight. Women in these areas have almost always been trafficked and have been given no real options to a life of prostitution.

Her Future is turning the tide by bringing our proven programs into these areas!

For the past year, we've partnered with an exemplary local organization to create groundbreaking programs in the red light areas of Calcutta. We've launched three resource centers, and helped open preschools, tutoring programs, job training programs, and a jewelry studio! We've also been using these centers as safe spaces for children during the dangerous evening hours while their mothers see customers. We've been well received in the community, and we've already seen real life change as women and children have benefitted from our programs. As always, it's important to us to truly change communities from the inside. We've seen change as the women in our program are beginning to gain respect from men in these oppressive and misogynistic places.

Through this campaign we hope to help 250 women and children in 2019 by:

• expanding the three existing resource centers, enabling many more people to take part in our much needed programs

• expanding our preschool and education programs, knowing that education is the best way out of poverty

• increasing our employment and training programs, sponsoring women to get out of violent and abusive prostitution and rejoin society, which also keeps their vulnerable young children safe.
