Donations to Her Future Coalition help girls like Priyanka to remain free forever. Priyanka was born on the streets of Calcutta and trafficked at age 12 to Mumbai. She was raped by numerous men on her very first night in the brothel and suffered terribly for several years in that situation. Finally, she escaped and risked everything to bring the police back to rescue other girls. Her family rejected her and blamed her for what happened. She was at first despairing, but joined our jewelry training program and experienced tremendous healing through self-expression, gaining financial independence and a new identity, and through the support of our team. Priyanka is now a leader in our jewelry program and an inspiration to other survivors. Her life mission is to help other survivors and vulnerable women remain free and independent as a jewelry trainer.
